I Had Surgery On My Back 6 Weeks Ago On

I had surgery on my back 6 weeks ago on L3 L4 & L5. I had limited activity for several months before the surgery due to the constant pain. I an recovering excellent but now that I am increasing walking without a walker I have shortness of breath. I have no swelling in my extremities, no chest pain. will this stop once I build my strength?
