I Had Surgical Tape Removed And I Believe I Am

I had surgical tape removed and I believe I am having a reaction to the "tape". Talked to my doctor and he told me to use hydrocortizone cream. Nothing is working...even just leaving it alone? Yet still impossibly miserable. I take a benadryl at night which helps me but as soon as I stand up the itching is on fire. My question is two parted. Is there anything I can do (homeopathic/natural)? I feel like the more stuff I put on it...just makes it angrier. My other question is something you may or may not be able to answer....but is there a possibility that I may be having an alergic reaction to the internal absorbable stiches?
