I Had The Beginnings Of Pneumonia In At The Beginning

I had the beginnings of pneumonia in at the beginning of November, 2015. My chest x-ray was clear at the end of December, 2015. 2 1/2 weeks later, I started coughing up yellow mucus again. I'm still coughing it up from time to time, but mostly I have a cough and am blowing yellow mucus out of my nose.
I know that I have nasal spurs and a deviated septum. Do these nose conditions contribute to bronchitis and pneumonia?
