I Had The Cartilage In My Ear Pierced Almost A

I had the cartilage in my ear pierced almost a year ago. It became infected and is still infected. I am being treated by an infectious disease dr but Im not sure he really has a handle on this. I am currently taking Levaquin by infusion every day. I have been doing this almost 16 weeks and have had no relief yet. Yesterday I was put on oral augmentin and doxycline to go along with the infusion. I am wondering how long I can continue to be on antibiotics such as this. And if there is anything else that could/should be done. I am in severe pain all of the time due to this infection
