I Had Thickened Endometrium(15mm) And Was Advised To Take Meprate

I had thickened endometrium(15mm) and was advised to take meprate for three cycles(21days each time). I just had two cycles done and I have spotting from past three days(I.e, post 15days of my last period) despite of taking meprate(1-0-1 times a day). I did a scan a week ago and now my endometrium is 6.4mm)..

The doc calls it a breakthrough bleeding and I was asked to take meprate (2-2-2) for three days and the continue with (1-1-1) and then (1-0-1) until my next cycle. But today is third day and my period (spotting) hasn't completely stopped.

Even when the endometrium was too thick, the period stopped in 3days but this time, the mild spotting wouldn't stop at all. Why? It there a problem? There is no pain anywhere and the scan is all normal.

What are the possible causes?
