I Had This Pain - Like A Bad Bruise Or

I had this pain - like a bad bruise or muscle spasm, before and was checked out in hospital twice. Allthey could determine was somethingthey called an elia or elias ? (sp) and it caused gas build-up, constipation, and pain. Can you tell me more? The pain radiates to my back. I have slight scoliosis and COPD. Go ahead please.
