I Had To Have Mohs Surgery For A Basil Cel

I had to have Mohs surgery for a basil cel carcinoma on my chin. I have a large scar. The cancer was on the bottom of my right chin. They cut me all the way up to my lip. I had told my dermatologist about it for the last year and a half (I go in every 6 months). He was not concerned about it and disregarded it. It looked like a pimple (whitehead) but never got better. On the last visit I told him to cut it off and biopsy it. It turned out to be cancer. I don't understand why he did not cut it off sooner. The cancer was as big as a dime. If he had cut it off sooner would they still have to do Mohs surgery.
