I Had To Stop My Birth Control Because My New

I had to stop my birth control because my new insurance wasn't effective. I had protected sex after my cycle ended and took a plan b (aftera) two days later just to be sure. Later that week, early Saturday morning, I didn't have full unprotected sex but to be safe, I took a plan b that Sunday afternoon. The guy I was talking to said that it was ok to do something since I took it and so he tried to enter me a few times but I said no. Was I still protected from the plan b that I took 1-3 hours before that day? I'm really worried and never wanted to put myself in that situation. I was strict about protected sex esp until I got back on my birth control.
