I Had Ventral Abdominal Hernia Surgery With Mesh Placed On

I had ventral abdominal hernia surgery with mesh placed on Jan 29, 2014. I have an enlarging stomach ever since and belly button now off to the side and belly looks lop sided. I have retained water in the past and took triam/Hctz as needed. I went for a check up a couple months ago as I gained almost 50 pounds and I've retained more water now then ever before so they switched me to just Hctz daily which I don't think has done anything to help with the retention. My stomach is in pain from 2 to 7 from the sites of where the jp drain was and where the hernia mesh was placed and around the belly button now up to my sternum. I've got heartburn/indigestion now and with the swelling they told me to go to walk in, in hopes of doing blood work which they didn't as my BP was normal and they gave me a Rx for compression stockings thru the waist. I have not purchased these as of yet as even wearing anything constrictive feels as though my stomach is tearing apart inside. I'm unable to put my feet up do to working at a desk all day and on feet at home when get home to take care of family. I've got phlegm building up in my throat. I'd like to mention that I went on a low carb/no carb diet for 2 weeks from the time I went in and I gained almost 50 lbs...to find out when went to the walk in I gained another 7 lbs... I'm not sure that is even possible as I upped my water, watched what i ate, tried to walk at least 15 mins a day with the group at work.... My concern is I am building up fluid inside and it's getting into my lungs yet I don't have the funds until after the 1st of year to go in and if there is anything I should be doing in the meantime or just go in? And to whom? I don't have a regular dr anymore...do I go to the surgeon? thanks!
