I Had Xray's On Both Knees. The Left One Is

I had xray's on both knees. The left one is bone on bone and is extremely painful. The right one is almost bone on bone, which leads me to double extreme pain. I believe I need surgery. My Reumatologist wants to inject some kind of jel, but I'm not sure that will take care of this problem. What do you think?
