I Have Adult Add/ ADHD Basically My Brain Never Stops

I have Adult Add/ ADHD basically my brain never stops running and when my life is chaos I can't function because my thoughts become scattered which then causes anxiety and causes stress! I have been seeing a psych and told her the only thing that helps is Adderall she refuses to prescribe and instead has tried Straterra which had negative side effects! Anxiety meds which cause panic attacks? Why won't she listen I have tried everything to get relief
