I have BPH and currently take Finasteride and Tamsulosin. For the past 4 months my prostate is sore and hurts most of the time especially after prolonged sitting. This makes my bladder sore as well. My doctor ran several tests and diagnosed the problem as interstitial cystitis. he prescribed elmiron, which I have been taking for two months with no improvement whatever. Any suggestions? Would Vesicare help? I am in pain and discomfort most of the day.
