I Have C 2 To C 7 Fractures C 6/7
I have C 2 to C 7 Fractures C 6/7 are Fused ( 1982 intact ) C 34 Prodisk Implant C56 Prodisk Implant
I have a sensation of an irritant Pain difficukt to Explain Despite my 45 year experience with Neural Pain ALL remaining C spine Disks are Herniated and the Prognosis is surgical Fusion of C2 to C 6 Rigid Fusion Skull to C2 Pads are likewise Damaged during the Prodisk surgery the Skull was re aligned to the best position on 3 of 4 Pads.
I have been taking Emtec 30 since 1990 8 per day until recently along with Gabapentin 3200 MG for many Neurological Pains of Extreme nature.
I have in the past 6weeks stopped taking the Emtec. After a 27 year Daily use NO breaks.
Doctors in Canada are no longer prescribing Opiates as of 6 weeks ago. Yes Just stop !
THe Problem, I feel is akin to a PHANTOM PAIN no real pain as normally associated but it begins at c7T1 And shoulder travels down the shoulder muscle contracting it as it travels then When it reaches the lower part of the shoulder blade IT seems to release Like a stretched Elastic band being let Go I suddenly lurch uncontrollably this SPASMODIC action lasts From 10 PM to 3 AM sometimes beyond. ONLY taking 2 Emtec 30 seems to stop the Spasms after 40 minutes form taking it.
When C6/7 Disk Exploded in 1982 ( Violently ) the similar symptoms occurred in the early hours of the Explosion down my Biceps before it set in to give more Classical PAIN. over a period of 4 hours.
I am Trying to Postpone the Proposed surgery for at least 10 more years. However ONLY Emtec seams to help ( I will run out in 9 days) I need more help than OPIATES I have tried a drug for Parkinson's PRAMIPEXOLE however it is Not at all Effective. I am now 70 Years Old. I simply do not wish to have surgery I had 2 Prodisks implanted to AVOID!
THIS is NOT PAINFULL simply A nasty sensation that has now kept me on the verge of sleepless nights for the past 47 days. I am Exhausted!
