I Have DVT, Thus Was Put On Xerello15 Then 20

I have DVT, thus was put on Xerello15 then 20 because of a blood clot in the leg;now I'm using Eliquis 2.5, low dose hoping to avoid bleeding. I cannot use aspirin because of a ulcerous stomach;in your opinion is there a safer product to take, I'm told I'll need to use meds long term for the clot never goes away?
