I Have Lupus SLE And Have Been Going Down Hill

I have Lupus SLE and have been going down hill for the past few years. In June my SED rate was 47. we managed to get it down to 30 by Aug. and started a 5mg daily prednisone. Sept. Not feeling well again, we checked it and it was 50. we did a prednisone taper and just rechecked it and its 55. What to heck that usually brings it down. They are calling in a longer taper today. Any suggestions as to what to do?
