I Have Meniere's For About 20 Years And For Last

I have Meniere's for about 20 years and for last six month my hearing took a significant dive.
My LOR prescribed dexamethasone aodium phosphate as the drops after puting tube in the ears, but it seems to me that it getting worth, not better. What is this medication actualy do?
