I Have A 12 Cm Cyst On My Left Ovary

I have a 12 cm cyst on my left ovary and one of similar size appearing to originate from my appendix on the right according to CT. My OBGYN says they do not appear to be cancerous based on CT appearance, however I'm worried that these cysts are on two different organs. What could this be?
