Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a 2 part question but first a little background. A few years ago after starting Enbrel for psoriasis I developed bumps on my penis. I went to the dermatologist and he froze them off. I stopped taking enbrel and they never came back. Last year I started taking Stelara for psoriasis and shortly after that I again started getting bumps on my penis. I started freezing them off at home with OTC wart freezing kits. It has been successful for the most part. I've been off Stelara for a year but my immune system is still affected and they keep coming back in different areas. I usually just freeze them and then they are gone. However I had what I thought were 2 warts on the underside of my penis just below the glans where the skin is very thin. I've been freezing these same two for months now and they seem to get bigger. It almost looks like scar tissue from overuse of liquid nitrogen. First, could overusing liquid nitrogen cause raised scar tissue on an area such as what I have described? It seems the more I do it the bigger they get. Second, if this is scar tissue am I stuck with it or is there a way to get rid of it? I'm at the point now where I realize I should have gone to the doctor instead of doing it myself but here I am and those are my questions. Thanks
