I Have A 2 Yr Old Grandson That Has Been

I have a 2 yr old grandson that has been pale for a couple of weeks. Now it has been three and he is very yellow and his eyes are swollen. The whites have not turned yellow.. His mother took him for a checkup and the dr treated him for a ruptured eardrum last Monday Today is Friday and she took him back in and was sent to get blood work. I don't want to alarm her but I wanted to know what his coloring could indicate. This is the first time he has been this color.
