I Have A 31 Year Old Son, Who Does Not

I have a 31 year old son, who does not live with me. I think he is mentally depressed. He is never happy, always angry, and talks about committing suicide. His girlfriend has told me that she cannot help him and he refuses help. What can I do? I am scared and worried. Should I have her call 911? Please help!
