I Have A HX Of Ulcerative Colitis, First Flare Up

I have a HX of ulcerative colitis, First flare up ever in the past 8 yrs since I was Dx was April 2014, all summer I had pain and cramping and discomfort and bowel habit changes, I was on prednisone for several months. In Feb 2015 I had gallbladder removed, although it helped with some pain, I still have extreme pain and or cramping to midepigastric area and still cannot eat meals regularly. I have cut out dairy completely for the past 5 months and I am on Delzicol, Donnatal elixir, Lomotil, and Zofran, Its been over a yr now and I have not gotten better, I have lost 15lbs since Feb, what can cause this cramping and pain that feels like sqeezing to the midepigastric area?
