I Have A A Swollen Lump On My End Knuckle

I have a a swollen lump on my end knuckle on my ring finger. Been there about a month. Is quite tender and inflamed periodically. Today I squeezed some puss out of it - clear but quite thick and sticky. It seemed to fill back up quite quickly but then was more watery. Any ideas
