I Have A Big Hole Or Tear In My Left

I have a big hole or tear in my left tonsil my throat is only slightly sore and there is no blood but I can feel it hitting my uvula when I swallow. I thought it might just be a big tonsil stone as I get them quite often. Is this something that will eventually heal on its own or should I see a Dr?
