I Have A Big Swollen Node Just Under My Ear

I have a big swollen node just under my ear and also beside the left side of throat and now a node or lump I found attached to my spine / muscle under my rib but not on rib, it's like it's attach d to the spine muscle.its hard and I can push it out towards the skin, it's not rubbery it's not mobile even when I push it it won't go far, it's a funky shape, also the node under my ear is hard as rock, what's ur opinion? I'm in Canada, and a surgeon wants to cut my spine/ muscle to get the lump I'm not sure if it's a good thing as he has not done any tests! No X-ray, no ultrasound, nothing,
