I Have A Bit Of Swelling In My Lower Jaw

I have a bit of swelling in my lower jaw and I believe it's associated with a tooth for which a root canal has been recommended; problem is i am due to be away for 2 mos beginning next Tuesday; question can I use antibiotic like clindamycin 0r amoxicillin and for how long if you recommend?
