I Have A Bladder Infection And Was Prescribed Levofloxacin, 750

I have a bladder infection and was prescribed Levofloxacin, 750 mg tablets for 7 days. I was advised the day after my doctor's visit that I had a highly resistant bacterial infection, and was referred to the infectious Disease office. My appointment is two week away, Oct. 1st. Will this delay in treatment make the infection worse. Shouldn't I have been seen sooner. I am worried about sepsis and other things.
