I Have A Boil Near My Anus And It Finally

I have a boil near my anus and it finally popped after almost two weeks. Also, it was very bloody and smelly. Smelled a lot like onions. The hole to where it was leaking closed up but it reopened again while I was in the shower. Is that normal for it to reopen and drain again??
