I Have A Boil On The Inside Of My Butt

I have a boil on the inside of my butt cheek at the bottom close to my anus , it started off small and I tried popping it but each time I did it got bigger so I stopped . I started putting a hot rag on it and slept over night . this morning I done it again . as I was using the bathroom just now I wiped and noticed it was bleeding a good amount along with pus mixed in . I was just wondering if that was normal or should I b worried ? It has gotten a little smaller and less hard but still unbearable to sit.
