I Have A Bright Red Ring Around My Right Big

I have a bright red ring around my right big toe. No pain but slight stiffness. I am taking allpurinol as I have had gout in the past. The skin on my toe is bumpy and somewhat dry and scaly. I am 74 not overweight and in relatively good health. Can't figure out this ring on my toe, but I believe it is gout related.
