I Have A Brother That Has Been Abusing Prescription Medications

I have a brother that has been abusing prescription medications from pain killers to alprazolam and drinking vodka! We took him to a hospital and had him detox where he is now in a care facility, he acts like he has brain damage from it and has started to wet his pants!! Last night he said he feels the urge to go but when he stands up it just starts coming out!! My question is , is all of this temporary or will he pull out of it? He has lost an extremely a lot of weight as well! And is very weak!!
