I Have A Burning Sharp Pain Under My Left Rib

I have a burning sharp pain under my left rib cage. mostly hurts after I eat. I operate heavy equipment and it always hurts when I am at work. If I take it easy on the weekends it doesn't hurt as bad. When the pain is really bad it hurts into my back and I find myself holding my breath. My name is Dale and I am 48 years old, don't smoke or drink. Please help thank you.
