I Have A Buzzing Feeling Like A Cell Phone On

I have a buzzing feeling like a cell phone on vibrate mode only not as intense. It lasts a few seconds, then stops for a few seconds, then starts again. It's in my upper left thigh by the groin area. It seems to be over or around the femoral artery. I can't feel it with my fingers when I touch the area. I don't remember any incident immediately prior to it starting that may have caused it. Until yesterday the area wasn't painful but yesterday and today it was painful enough that I wanted to sit and rest after walking a short distance.
