I Have A Cat That Has Liquid Bloody Smelly Diarrhea

I have a cat that has liquid bloody smelly diarrhea since weaning and he is now approaching a year old. The vet tech first found coccidia, lots of it,in a float. Treating with the appropriate drugs did not help. Several months have gone by and he is still sick. Most recent fecal found Costridium species; my understanding is that cats don't get dificile but rather perfringens. He has had throughout the months amoxi, metro, pre and probiotics, kaolin/pectin, and I don't remember what else but I would recognize others if you mentioned them. Amoxi and metro given concurrently seemed to help the most. The vet wanted him to stay till they got a super fresh stool to run right over to the VDC and now the VDC recommends a fecal transplant. Do you have any advice for me and Julius? He cries and growls at his bottom every time he goes. Sometimes he just dribbles poop and can't make the litterbox. He is unhappy. Calumetcats@ gmail.com
