I Have A Clear Discharge From My Eye. I Cannot

I have a clear discharge from my eye. I cannot see the discharge but I sometimes fall asleep and when I wake there is a film on my lens that I must use eye glass cleaner to remove. Now I notice that my eye feels wet and is somewhat irrated? What can I do here at home this evening to relieve it ?
