I have a cold sore on my lip. I iced the sore, popped the bubbles, soaked up the fluid, then cleaned it with nail polish remover to kill the bacteria. I also had taken 3 Valtrex that day. it is barely visible. what is the probability that I transmitted this to my boyfriend that I kissed that same day? also, is my saliva contagious or does my sore have to touch him directly to transmit
