I Have A Constant Pain Behind My Knee The Bottom

I have a constant pain behind my knee the bottom of my hamstring where it attaches on the outside of my leg? I can walk but when I start to run or push off of it is a constant pain and I can't go. Babe how long is my recovery time and what kind of an injury is that ?
