I Have A Cut On My Leg - Didn't Even

I have a cut on my leg - didn't even know I had it. When I saw it, it didn't hurt so I assumed I hit something. A few days later there is a circle around the cut - I know red means infection but it isn't swollen or doesn't hurt. Just wondering if I should put a bandaid on and see if it goes away.
