I Have A Cyst Formation Adjacent To The Anterior Aspect

I have a cyst formation adjacent to the anterior aspect of the lateral tibial plateau measuring2.2cm. I get shooting nerve pain down my leg when I have it bent to long. For example sitting to dine or driving. Should I have this cyst drained or removed ?
