I Have A Dark Toe Nail. I Have Had It

I have a dark toe nail. I have had it several years but lately I have noticed that it has become darker. It is on the right big toe. Many years ago, I used to run on a masters division track team as a sprinter.There is no oozing, smell, but the toe nail is thick.
