I Have A Deep Cough That Has Persisted Over The

I have a deep cough that has persisted over the past two weeks. Sometimes I kick up something, most times I don't. The cough seems due to dry throat, sometimes due to backdrip. My back, right below my shoulder blades are tender. I'm smelling iron when I cough, but I'm not seeing or tasting blood when I cough. I can breathe in deep just fine, and the cough is once every hour or constant depending on the conditions.
