I Have A Dent In My Eye Right On The

I have a dent in my eye right on the edge of the iris. It's kind of red right by the dent, what could it be and is it considered serious? I've had no known injury to my eye and I don't wear glasses or contacts. Only other time my eyes are irritated are when I have lack of sleep.
