I have a discomfort under left rib for last 8 months or so. I am 56, have a bit of a beer belly, 6'1" and like to walk. I'm not visibly overweight except for my stomach. I'm trying to lose weight so off all beer etc for 2 weeks now. I had a bad heliobacter infection and that was treated successfully. At the same time I bad reflux and was scoped both ends, had a cat scan and no problems found.
However since the colonoscopy, discomfort started under the 10th rib that came and went. The sensation was like a little gas bubble under left rib near the navel. I had been on Lanzosprazole but it seemed not to help. This discomfort came and went but comes back, a little worse each and now seems located at bottom of rib. No pain to probe and not visibly different to the right side. Stomach area rumbles a lot loud enough to hear clearly. Occasional burping but flatulence seems normal.
In morning all seems normal but gradually during day it gets worse ( l sit at a computer a lot for work).
Bisodol helps a lot but discomfort comes back. There is no pain but I sometimes feel a pull like a tiny dull stitch under bottom of rib. I gave not amenic, have no jaundice and other than occasional blocked eustachion tubes and a little neuropathic tingling on outside of left thigh, I feel good.
Any ideas? Thanks
