I Have A Dull Pain On My Lower Right Side

I have a dull pain on my lower right side which shoots up through up to mid-ribcage and into my back (progressively hurting more). It is harder to breathe when I am laying down however, if I lay on my right side, even though that is the side that hurts, it helps.
