I Have A Family Member Who Has Type 2 Diabetes

I have a family member who has type 2 diabetes in end stage renal , she has an infection where a hole has formed in her butt she has dry gangrene and her feet are black she is an older woman in her seventies,she is on dialysis 3 times a week highs and lows in sugar glucose readings she is doing very good in being strong mind wise the hospital wants her to get off dialysis what and why would they suggest this
