I Have A Fatty Part On The Front Of My

I have a fatty part on the front of my neck. I am over weight and it is fatter but the color is lighter than the rest of my neck and I know it is allergy season but my throat has a constant itch and I am clearing my throat often. Do you think these are connected and I should get it checked out? ...and is there a thyroid on the front part of you neck under your chin that could be acting up? Thanks, Patty
