I Have A Freckle Or Mole ( I Can't Tell

I have a freckle or mole ( I can't tell which) it's a normal shade of tan/brown and it is smaller than 6mm ( pencil eraser) on my shin ( lower leg) I've never noticed it before but never really looked. It doesn't itch or bleed and it is perfectly round. I noticed a teeny tiny black spot in it so that caused me some concern. It might just be a hair follicle? It kind of feels like there is a lump or bruise under it but nothing visible. Could this be melanoma?
