I Have A Friend In The Nursing Home Who Has

I have a friend in the nursing home who has frequent bouts of c-diff, due to having to take antibiotics often and is on prednisone, daily for copd and genetic lung disease. He also has a colostomy. They have started him on the Welchol 625mg. daily for the c-diff. From what I have read, so far, this may not cover his problem with the c-diff. I would appreciate your opinion. Thanks.
