I Have A Friend That Has Been In A Self

I have a friend that has been in a self destructive depressive state after he a brain aneurysm many years ago. He most recently had stroke like episode. However his x-rays and mri's show no signs of a stroke. The doctors have said possibly due to his alcohol intake. He can't walk or stand very long on his own now. Also refuses doctors treatments due to drpression. Also not sure if his mental state is functioning properly. He's not connecting the dots very well. It's been almost a month and a half since the episode. The family is running out of benefits and money. What do we do now?
