I Have A Friend That Is Being Sent To Shands

I have a friend that is being sent to Shands with a 7x4mm ovoid focus of enhancement along the posterior tip of the conus medularis. I see that they are thinking schwannoma (tendon sheath tumor) or a malignancy. As a nurse I don't think the neurosurgeon that he is seeing feels comfortable with treatment. His symptoms are 2 months of LB pain with pain only radiating down one leg to the knee. No bladder or bowel symptoms. Neurosurgeon is questioning a secondary lesion not a primary tumor
