I Have A Friend Who After Eating Beef (cow, Not

I have a friend who after eating beef (cow, not chicken, or other foods) she gets swollen gums. I was thinking this was an allergy, but that usually causes rashes, nausea, or other symptoms. This is only swollen gums, and only with beef. They do not eat pork.
